Q & A

All Questions Answered,

ARAJEE Skincare is a professional Skincare business and operates as such, at all times.

The ambiance and every possible provision provided, have been put in place with you in mind so that the highest level of spa etiquette is enforced and as a result will always be expected and provided.

As my client I want you to expect to be treated with respect and more importantly know that you will be, and as your future or present Esthetician, I too expect the very same in return.

So if you wouldn’t expect to get filet mignon at a drive through, or a value meal at the Ritz, ARAJEE Skincare is for you. Providing you with stellar service is important to me.

Thinking ahead, I have put together a few Q & A in anticipation of any questions that you may have prior to your appointment and hope that you find the answers helpful.

What is an Esthetician?

An Esthetician is a trained, licensed professional who is certified by his / her State to specialize in the cosmetic treatments of the skin.

A good Esthetician, will become your greatest asset when it comes to the beautification of your skin.

What Does An Esthetician Do?

As Licensed Estheticians, I have been trained in product chemistry, Anatomy, skin physiology and microbiology, so that we have an in-depth knowledge of muscles, bones, and nerves. We also have an in-depth knowledge of the Circulatory system, Excretory system, Endocrine system, Integumentary system, Exocrine system, Lymphatic system, Muscular system and Nervous system all of which play an important role in skincare.

We are able to perform a thorough skin analysis to determine, skin type and condition and recommend treatments and products that will benefit the skin in order to promote skin health. We are also able to educate our clients about proper skin care and daily skin care regimens that will help the client to maintain healthy skin at home after they receive their spa service.

Who should I see an Estheticians or a Dermatologists?

Although Estheticians are skin care professionals, they are not medical doctors and so it is important to note that there are some things that an Esthetician cannot do: for example, we are not permitted to diagnose skin conditions, prescribe medications, or suggest treatments for any skin condition outside of those allowed within our scope of practice. We may however recommend that you to see a dermatologist should our skin analysis reveal anything that we feel would be of benefit to you to have check by a medical doctor.

Estheticians work within a scope of practice that limits us to performing treatments that work on the superficial layers of the skin. So, unless we have a degree in nursing and practice under the Supervision of a Dermatologist we cannot give any types of injectables like Botox or facial fillers, nor do deep chemical peels or any invasive procedures that only Medical doctors or Dermatologist are permitted to provide.

What's the difference between an Esthetician and an AEsthetician?

Estheticians, Aesthetician, Skincare Specialist and Skincare Therapists are all one and the same, as each is trained to analyze and promote the beautification of skin, through a variety of techniques and modalities.

In the United Kingdom, Esthetician’s are more commonly referred to as Aestheticians. Though some will say that Estheticians work in Day Spas and Salons, while Aestheticians typically work in medical or medispa settings.

What's an intake form and why do I need to complete one?

An Intake form is a skin related lifestyle and medical questionnaire that helps the Esthetician to provide you with skin care that is specific to your skin and and skin concerns. Typically a intake form needs to be completed and or updated prior to your service. Though we are not medical doctors, as Estheticians we use professional products that may contain ingredients which could bring on an allergic reaction., i.e. Citrus, Diary, and seaweed. You may also be on medications that may prevent treatments or modalities that are used within a service. Or you may have received treatments from a Dermatologist that will prevent certain manipulation of the skin and underlining muscles.

Do I need an Appointment
to visit your Day Spa?

Yes, due to the nature of my business, all services are provided by appointment only. However, if you would like a same day appointment please call or check on line at Arajeeskincare.com for same day appointment availability. With that being said, I encourage you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your service time for a consultation so that you can discuss any skin issues that you would like to have addressed. Also, during this time you will be able to change into spa attire if applicable to your service, without infringing upon the time given for the session.

What if I'm running late will you still see me for my appointment?

If you are running late, please call or text me to let me know your expected time of arrival. You will still be seen for your appointment however, your service will end at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, unless I have a free slot following your appointment I will not be able to extend service time to compensate for late arrivals because doing so will inconvenience the client who has an appointment directly following yours.

What If I miss my appointment will I still be charged?

Each appointment is guaranteed with a credit or debit card at the time of scheduling your appointment. We require a 24 hour, reschedule / cancellation notice and ask that you respectfully consider the time that was set aside for you before cancellation or rescheduling your appointment.
